At my place of work, social networking sites are not permitted to visit, and they are blocked in the company proxy server. Needless to say, they lack a lot in terms of vision at my place of work...
Anyways, I haven't really payed much attention to the different social networking sites. I merely joined when someone else invited me, at least when I was invited by someone I knew... So far, I have joined three sites:
XING,
Linkedin and
facebook.
XING: I don't really care for XING, it doesn't seem to be a very good site. I have one contact there,
Thomas Adrian, and that will probably be it.
Linkedin: I actually like this site. It's easy to use and easy to search, and there seems to be a lot of people using the site.
facebook: I haven't really decided if I like this one or not. I will probably stay on here, since some of my contacts doesn't want to use any other social networking site. I even managed to convince my wife that she should register there...
Lately, I've tried to be more active, and have invited people myself. Some has accepted, while others have declined. If you would like to connect to me on Linkedin or facebook, please feel free to ask.
